How Can I Apply for NEET 2021?

Many students hope to join medical colleges after completing their Class 12 exams. But to secure a medical seat in the country, they must appear for the NEET 2021 exam. Many expect this year’s NEET to take place in May 2021. While there is no confirmation on the date yet, students are already gearing up for the exam. Those who would like to apply might be facing a few doubts or queries. Here’s a guide that will help applicants complete the NEET application process with ease!

Fill up formQ: How do I fill up an application form?

A: Students who would like to appear for the exam should visit the official NEET website. They must fill up and submit the application form along with all the requisite documents. To complete the application process, candidates must pay the application fee.

Q: What kind of image do I have to upload along with the form?

A: Earlier, NEET candidates had to upload a passport-sized image with a white background. The image required the date and name of the candidate at the bottom. As per the latest notification, the image does not need the date and name. Students can upload just a passport-sized picture with a white background.

Q: How much is the NEET 2021 application fee?

A: Students in the general category have to pay INR 1,500. OBC-NCL and General-EWS individuals have to pay INR 1,400, and SC, ST, PWD and transgender individuals have to pay INR 800 as the application fees.

Q: How can I pay the application fee?

A: Individuals can pay the application fee online via debit or credit card, internet banking, and via UPI service providers.

Q: Will I be provided with a receipt as proof for the application fee payment?

A: Once the payment is received and the form submitted successfully, a confirmation page is generated. We recommend that students print this confirmation page and keep a copy with them.

Q: What happens if I complete the payment but do not receive a confirmation page?

A: This could happen due to a server connectivity issue. If this happens, you should wait for a day before checking for the confirmation page. If it is still not generated, you should pay the fee again. In the unlikely event that the money gets debited twice, you will receive a refund. If the confirmation page is still not issued, contact your bank or try another payment mode.

Q: I received an error that my session has expired and could not submit my form. What should I do?

A: The NEET website automatically times out after 30 minutes, so all candidates should complete the application process within this time. To prevent data from getting lost, save the form as a draft. Students should also keep all their documents ready with them to avoid unnecessary delays. If the session expires, you will have to redo the entire process and submit your form.

Q: Once I complete the application, can I withdraw it and get a refund?

A: NEET applicants cannot withdraw their application after submitting it. They will not receive any refunds on the application fee.

Q: What is a correction window?Correction window

A: After the application process and before the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) provides a short period during which candidates can make specific corrections to their application form.
