JEE Mains 2020 Exam Postponed Due to COVID-19

National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the upcoming JEE Main exam. It was scheduled to take place on April 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th of this year. Instead, the Agency has decided to release the fresh schedule on 31st March 2020. They will also be releasing the JEE Main admit card on the same date.

JEE Mains 2020 postponed

The decision to postpone all the exams, including JEE Main April 2020 and CBSE board exams, to a later date, is due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease in the country.

Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources Development has announced that the government is keeping a close check on the situation. As of now, they have decided to monitor the progress. They will announce their decision regarding any educational activities after 31st March.

To this, Amit Khare, HRD Secretary also pointed out that the JEE exam requires students to travel to different towns. This is not permissible at the moment. Besides, the dates may clash with the rescheduled dates of CBSE and other board exams. All of this will create confusion and also make it difficult to accommodate the examinees.
