The TG CLAT 2021 course has been created with the focus being on the evaluation of the student's capability of comprehension and reasoning skills and abilities of candidates.
The overall course has been designed to check and test the aptitude and skills which are needed as part of understanding education about legal matters. The prior knowledge of the subject may be useful but is not an essential requirement though for some sections like Current Affairs, having a prior knowledge helps the students.
The CLAT exam would be a 2-hour computer-based test, having 150 multiple - choice questions, with each of the questions carrying 1 mark each. For every wrong answer, the student would lose 0.25 marks.
The CLAT Question paper comprises of the following 5 subjects:
The English section of the CLAT exam would be testing the Language Skills of the student. This section would consist of passages of about 450 words and these passages would be from contemporary history or topics from fiction and non - fiction books and so on.
Every passage would be followed by a series of questions which tests the comprehension skills of the students along with that it tests the application of Grammar and linguistics.
This section would have passages mainly from the following disciplines, i.e.
Each of these passages would have up to 450 words in it and would have been carried over from News, writings and literature from prominent Journalists and Authors.
The questions based on the passage would be testing the awareness of the student about the current affairs and incidents and important notifications about the same.
This section, like other sections, would have passages up to 450 words in it and would have been picked based on scenarios which may involve legal scenarios, policies regarding policy matters and moral questions. Having said that, the complete knowledge of Law and Legal Matters is not essential.
